Eaton PowerXL-xxxx

Eaton PowerXL-xxxx is a series of variable-frequency drives.

2017: PowerXL DE11

On May 15, 2017 Eaton provided the actuator with speed control of PowerXL DE11 with the bus CANopen.

In DE11 model support of the open network protocol CANopen for connection of the built-in devices on the vehicle transport and industrial networks is implemented that will provide a possibility of application of energy efficient solutions in a number of mechanical engineering segments.

Feature of the device - an opportunity to regulate the variable speed of rotation for devices of low power: having resembled on the contactor or the actuator of the electric motor, the device has an option of the built-in speed control without the need for setup of parameters.

In DE11 configuration removable jumpers of control circuits do possible preassembly. The device can be mounted horizontally and vertically, compliance of width of DE11 to dimensions of the standard motor starter facilitates replacement of devices and upgrade of construction.

The main purpose of actuators with speed control – to provide clients with an opportunity it is reliable to protect engines and to manage them during their work in the energy efficient mode. In many cases variable-frequency drives have too large number of functions and are difficult in setup and management while actuators are simple in use, but have limited functionality. DE11 can be configured to terms of use that reduces time of input of the device in operation. The possibility of setup from a panel of the operator and by means of the software is provided in the device.

The device is capable to detect recuperative energy of engines and to automatically control it. Enter functionality of the device:

• automatic decrease in frequency of PWM at a high load or ambient high temperatures,
• internal protection of the engine,
• protection against short circuits and overload,
• automatic restart,
• management of a direct current in case of asymmetry.

2016: PowerXL DC1

PowerXL DC1 is the variable-frequency drive of Eaton company.

On June 14, 2016 the Eaton company announced replenishment of the range of the compact PowerXL DC1 variable-frequency drives model on 22 kW.

As a part of a product line easy to use drive solutions with power from 0.37 to 22 kW with quick entry in operation.

Standard applications for DC1 series devices:

• pumps and fans,
• pipelines,
• centrifuges,
• systems of isolation
• fillers.

All DC1 models are executed with protection of degree of IP20 and also protection of IP66 for the standard sizes of lower power up to 7.5 kW. Utilization properties of the equipment are invariable also at ambient temperature to 50 °C therefore drives are optimal for use in control cabinets or in adverse conditions, in the systems of distributed control.

We expanded the range of the PowerXL DC1 variable-frequency drives according to requests of consumers. Functional units of CoDeSys provide simple connection of all PowerXL variable-frequency drives to management systems of production Eaton and other HMI interfaces. In addition to the standard Modbus RTU and CANopen interfaces all products are compatible to intellectual technology of connection and communication of Eaton SmartWire-DT.

The frequency converters DC1 of expanded power range (model 11, 15, 18.5, 22 kW of power output) are available in the warehouse Eaton in Moscow.
