Abbott will help to create the centralized state laboratory in the Penza region

2016: The plan of creation of the centralized state laboratory in the Penza region

In June, 2016 it became known of plans of the government of the Penza region for creation in the region of the state centralized laboratory. The Abbott company which is releasing a broad spectrum of the advanced solutions in the field of diagnostics, medical devices, medicines, baby and clinical nutrition can become the partner in this project.

As reported on the website of the government of the Penza region, on June 17, 2016 the governor of the region Ivan Belozertsev discussed a possibility of creation of the state centralized laboratory based on one of the public budget medical institutions with representatives of Abbott company within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Among those people with whom Belozertsev communicated there was an executive vice president of Abbott Michael Vormouth, the director of communications with government institutions of Abbott in Russia of Alexander Medvedev, the managing director of Diagnostic division of Abbott in Russia and  the CIS Dmitry Paramonov, the CEO of JSC Veropharm (the producer of pharmaceutical products is a part of Abbott since 2014) Elena Bushberg and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Penza region Andrey Luzgin.

It is noted that the government of the region selected Abbott as the possible partner because this company has experience of implementation of similar projects. The Ministry of Health of the Penza region considers the possibility of cooperation with Abbott regarding the organization of the logistic scheme and development of the software product and also support of all  system of the centralized laboratory.

It is known also that during the meeting of the party raised the question of expansion of interaction with Veropharm regarding supply of medicines of this company to the Penza region.^[1]
