5 billion rubles will be directed by Novaport holding to upgrade of the airport of Voronezh, the press service of the government of the region reports in July.

By 2023 in the air harbor will construct the new terminal for service of the international runs. The project will be implemented in several stages. At first it is going to construct the terminal of internal airlines, then it is equipped with necessary technical means for the international runs and will create the sector on complex service of passengers from the countries of the Customs union. The areas of air terminal will be expanded for service of a perspective passenger traffic.

According to preliminary data, after commissioning of the new terminal, the passenger traffic will grow three times, to 2.5 million people a year. At the end of 2019 the air harbor serviced 853.6 thousand people. Except construction of the new terminal the possibility of creation at the airport of Voronezh of a mail hub is considered.
