In January, 2014 system implementation of EME.WMS 3.5 in a warehouse of VARTON group to Klimovsk of the Moscow region is complete.
In the warehouse of 1500 sq.m separated into 5 premises the mixed storage is organized (rack and floor). The goods are stored as on mono-pallets, in boxes, and by the piece in the covered heated premises.
Feature of a warehouse is storage of the same goods with the minimum visual distinctions. Differences of goods (industrial and office lamps are stored in a warehouse) consist in a difference in the power, luminosity, the socle size, existence of an opaque covering on a surface. Specialists of EME.WMS together with the logistics director of VARTON company revealed all nuances of work of personnel of a warehouse with such goods. After implementation of EME.WMS of an error in selection and acceptance were considerably reduced, the speed of acceptance increased, regrading left. All operations are performed with data collection terminals, special jobs of packers/controllers of orders with the shipping documentation are selected. For this project import of files from 1C at which requests for collecting of the order automatically go to work to data collection terminals, and after assembly to check to packers was implemented. Thus, load of EME.WMS operators is minimized (they participate in analysis of unusual situations).
In turn, for packers function of check as the store scanner where each unit in the order is checked by scanning by a data collection terminal was implemented (without a possibility of input of a total quantity on the basis of visual recalculation). This function is necessary not to allow regrading at selection. At present similar completion for goods acceptance is conducted. All transactions in a warehouse are executed using the new data collection terminals (DCT) of the Intermec CK3R model about 2D image scanner, allowing to read out both linear, and two-dimensional barcodes. Implementation took about two business weeks. At the moment the warehouse operates normally with the minimum addresses to specialists of EME company.
The main objective on elimination of regrading of visually similar goods and also many other tasks, are decided that very much pleased pickers, packers, the warehouse supervisor, the logistics director and all VARTON company.
After successful system implementation of EME.WMS 3.5 in a warehouse of Varton company to Klimovsk in January, 2014, the company management of Varton made the decision to automate the second warehouse which is in Bogoroditsk (Tula region). Implementation of EME.WMS on this warehouse successfully took place in February, 2015.
The warehouse with a total area of 3000 sq.m. on 8000 pallets is by production. Component parts for production of lamps and the finished goods arriving from production are stored in a warehouse. Storage is organized on racks of two types: on frontal racks import goods, on stuffed - finished goods which arrive from production are stored.
Implementation of EME.WMS was performed by the staff of Varton company, SAMOSTOYATELNO for the record SIX WORKING days. The staff of Varton company who was carrying out implementation took part in automation and the first warehouse of the company in 2014. The competent plan of implementation and the training program of EME company allowed them independently and to quickly carry out automation of the second warehouse.
Now in a warehouse 3 operators, 10 pickers work with data collection terminals and 1 controller-packer. For work the controller-packer uses the special module EME.WMS "The Packer's Module with the Shipping Documentation". Also using EME.WMS and data collection terminals control of loading of orders in the machine is organized. For work pickers and the controller-packer use modern, frost-resistant data collection terminals of Honeywell tecton cs.
This event shows convenience of work with the EME.WMS system not only in terms of its operation in a warehouse, but also in a possibility of fast replication on other warehouses of the company.
