On July 1, 2016 the Jet Infosystems company announced project completion of the organization of the failsafe virtualized computer system by request of the Irkutsk Aircraft Factory (IAF).
Project Results
10 business and critical systems, including maintenance of lifecycle productions of airplanes ERP HR workflow system , etc. are transferred to the created IT infrastructure.
Data processing rate grew twice, and on some transactions by 20 times. In case of failure at the level of DPC switching to the reserve platform happens on average within 30 minutes. In the normal mode resources of RDPC are used for problems of testing and development.
Upgrade of the computer system opened ample opportunities for development of our corporate information systems. The applied technologies provide flexibility in use of resources and allow to minimize the recovery time of especially critical IT services. The computer system is completely ready to service of processes of serial production of the new MS-21 civilian airliner, and the equipment put into operation not only will provide current demands of the enterprise, but also will cope with problems of the next several years. |
Replacement of storage systems, without stopping works of the enterprise is step by step made. In the main DPC modern high-performance DWH is set and data migration is carried out. The former storage system suitable for problems of the reserve platform is moved to RDPC, between data centers replication of data is configured. Expansion of capacity of disk library of the main DPC prepared a backup system for operation in a complex with new servers.
Network switches 10G Ethernet provide required network transmission capacity of data transmission in the port capacity of network infrastructure.
Again supplied computing equipment consumes less electric power, however the lack of an empty seat in DPCs caused step-by-step implementation of large-size server platforms of the class Hi-End in the operating IT landscape. After installation of the computing equipment in RDPC, on a temporary basis connected DWH of the main platform to it and without significant idle times replaced the outdated server in the main DPC. The complex is transferred to the mode of regular functioning, final testing is held.
Implementation of so significant changes in IT infrastructure of IAZ, especially in anticipation of release of the new passenger airplane – a task extremely responsible. In close cooperation with IT specialists of the enterprise we thoroughly planned each new stage of the project. Thanks to it it was succeeded to build the IT platform meeting modern standards without having a negative impact on production processes. |
