The International Business Times edition published the rating of three highest paid top managers of the medical companies in 2015 whose shares are traded at the American exchanges.
First place in this list was won by the founder and the CEO of producer of technologies of noninvasive condition monitoring of the patient of Masimo Joe Kiani. Its annual compensation packet made $119.2 million. The most part of the specified amount fell on actions with restriction of the address which can be implemented only under some conditions: at dismissal, change of owners of the company, relocation of the headquarters from South California somewhere or some other conditions. In 2014 Kiani earned only $4.5 million.
On the second place on the income of heads of the companies in the field of health care the head of the developer of Horizon Pharma medicines Timothy Walbert to whom the company paid $93.4 million in 2015 that more than by 10 times exceeds an indicator of year prescription borrowed. The CEO received large bonuses for completion of the transaction on acquisition of the large Irish pharmaceutical company at a low tax rate.
After this purchase Horizon Pharma transferred the headquarters to Dublin (Ireland). The same was made by producer of the medical equipment Medtronic after absorption of the Irish competitor of Covidien. The deal also managed to be closed at the minimum taxation for what the CEO of Medtronic Omar Ishrak received a large compensation packet in $39.5 million at the end of 2015.
In 2016 financial year closed in April of the 2016th Omar Ishrac's earnings were reduced by 60% as comparison went with the period of receiving large lump sum payments for closing of the transaction with Covidien. For the same reason the income of at least three other top managers of Medtronic fell.[1]
