In Sibur-PETF for monitoring of corporate network, applications and business services the AggreGate Network Manager system is used

Project Description

Sibur-PETF, affiliated enterprise of the SIBUR - producer of polyethyleneterephthalate, implemented the AggreGate Network Manager system for monitoring of corporate network, applications and business services.

For ensuring activity Sibur-PETF uses difficult and branched network infrastructure. Network functioning is ensured by more than hundred managed level switches 2 and 3. Also IT infrastructure includes more than 20 managed uninterruptible power supply units and servers based on operating systems Microsoft Windows Server and CentOS. The number of active users exceeds 300 people.

Main objectives of the project were: increase in efficiency of an information system and expense reduction on its contents.

Within achievement of these purposes all of subtasks was designated:

• increase in controllability of telecommunication network;
• reduction of time of mitigation of consequences of accidents;
• increase in speed of connection of new users;
• control of parameters of climate and access to server premises;
• control of parameters of power supply of servers and network equipment;
• increase in level of information security of the enterprise.

For the solution of assigned tasks the Tibbo AggreGate Network Manager software product was selected. It allows IT to personnel to trace in real time as shared state of network, and each its element separately with the different detail levels. In addition to network equipment, servers of corporate applications, uninterruptible power supply units, video surveillance servers, servers of management of technology processes at the enterprise, printers and workstations are connected to monitoring. Are also constantly kept track of quality of the IT services provided by third-party providers. On the basis of data of monitoring reports for IT of employees and their heads form.

For status monitoring of the external environment and access to the equipment in server premises of the building were set an environment monitoring system of ARS NetBotz. Data from NetBotz devices are collected and analyzed by the AggreGate Network Manager system. In case of an exit of parameters out of limits of permissible values of AggreGate Network Manager automatically notifies responsibles.

New automation equipment of management of information infrastructure on the basis of the intellectual Tibbo AggreGate platform allow to plan more accurately development of IT infrastructure, to calculate capacity of networks and to distribute load of servers.

Among the reached advantages it is possible to note:

• increase in level of availability of the represented IT services,
• optimization use of information resources,
• quality improvement of work of personnel of IT service,
• increase in efficiency of failure handling,
• cost reduction and human resources on service of IT systems.
