2016: Announcement

In July, 2016 the producer of automated design engineering systems Autodesk announced an online service under the name Live by means of which architects and engineers can model different constructions and organize virtual tours on them for the clients.

Autodesk Live allows to reproduce three-dimensional models of houses or buildings on the computer and to provide interaction with them in a virtual mode by analogy with service of " Yandex.panorama ". For example, it is possible to make walks along corridors, to visit conference rooms and to examine a building facade on the street, notes the eWeek edition.

Autodesk Live provides a feedback of architects with clients: the last can directly leave in the project marks and comments on the fact that they want to change. The contractor of the project instantly sees these notes and can react to them quicker, than it other similar tools allow, the producer claims.

Taylor Cupp, the technologist and the general contractor of Mortenson Construction construction company (it shows to clients as the project prior to construction will look, using software for virtual reality and other similar tools), says that Autodesk Live allows to execute orders quicker.

According to the head of global business strategy of Autodesk Angi Izzi, the company created Autodesk Live to meet demand of clients for additional visualization and immersive technologies of architectural design.

Autodesk Live service

Autodesk Live supports import of the projects created in the Autodesk Revit BIM program (Building Information Modeling) which hundreds of thousands of architects and designers use worldwide. Autodesk Live appeared in the commercial market on July 21, 2016.[1]
