The Ministry of Health of the Saratov region automated obstetric aid control

On July 18, 2016 the BARS GROUP company announced implementation of the module of the regional medical information system (MIS) "Accounting and Monitoring of Pregnant Women and Newborns" in health facilities of the Saratov region. The project is implemented by BARS GROUP together with BARS-Saratov company.

Project Tasks

Automation of accounting and monitoring of pregnant women and newborns is aimed at decrease in level of maternal, perinatal and infantile death rate, incidence of women in childbirth and newborns, disability of children.

Project Progress

In the module the algorithm of actions is implemented:

• after pregnancy factual determination the obstetrician-gynecologist puts the woman on dispensary accounting, creates the individual prenatal record (IKBR), creates the plan of dispensary accounting on a template and adds to it required medical services
• actions according to the plan of medical examination are executed. The relevant information is reflected in IKBR, in medical history
• the provided intrasystem notifications will notify the doctor on violation of the plan. In the presence at the patient of chronic diseases or detection is the pathology complicating the course of pregnancy, a system will automatically make a route of additional actions which the patient needs to pass depending on the diagnosis.
• throughout observation, by expert method of calculation of key indicators, calculation of risk of termination of pregnancy and support of the obstetrician-gynecologist in adoption of medical solutions will be performed.
• after pregnancy term the woman in labor is hospitalized, goes to a rodblok.
• all operations performed with the patient are fixed in IKBR, in the section "History of researches".
• after the delivery in IKBR the result of pregnancy automatically is established.
• after the statement of the woman in childbirth in the module "Accounting and Monitoring of Pregnant Women and Newborns" planning of postnatal actions at the end of which the obstetrician-gynecologist closes IKBR is executed and creates the epicrisis.

For control of maintaining patients at out-patient and stationary stages of assistance, from the Ministry of Health, medical information and analytical center, the perinatal centers of area instruments of operational and periodical collection of the reporting, access to analytical program capabilities are provided to the supervising specialists.

For July 18, 2016 trial operation of the module is executed.
