VTB 24 purchased a HSS of Oracle Big Data Appliance

On July 21, 2016 the Oracle CIS company announced delivery of a hardware and software system for processing of the Big Data Oracle Big Data Appliance by request of VTB 24.

VTB 24 watches technology innovations and in 2015 in the organization made the decision on expansion of VTB 24 storage adding to it of special area - "Big Data area".

Acquisition of the hardware-software solution is made within the large-scale program of technology development of VTB 24 which purpose is updating and significant increase in operational efficiency of business in all sales channels and service, increase in number of active clients, increase in business indicators.

With this project the bank plans dynamic development of the data warehouse, qualitatively increasing the volume and structure of data. Use of Oracle Big Data Appliance will expand possibilities of data analysis and modeling at simultaneous reduction in cost of their storage.

One of the main directions of use of this technology - the "data modeling" consisting in creation and training of models at Big Data for the most different scenarios. For example:

• counteraction to fraud,
• behavioral models on defaults of clients,
• optimization of marketing campaigns,
• analysis of operational efficiency,
• workmanship of business processes, etc.
