Since June, 2008 the Comstar-OTS telecom operator uses the ERP system of Oracle E-Business Suite (about 400 jobs in Moscow). Used earlier in the company of a system of the financial accounting SunSystems and material values of TATS were stopped.

Project description of implementation

Implementation lasted since the end of 2005 and it cost the company $12 million. Comparison with similar implementations allow to recognize justice of cost of works. The operator considered different options of ERP systems, and the solution of Oracle was selected "as the most optimal and most of all podkhodyashchiy under tasks of the company". At number of staff in Moscow about 1000 people, for this amount are automated "about 400 jobs", at the same time call number of the purchased licenses in the company "sufficient".

The modules Oracle E-Business Suite "Zakupki", "Creditory", "Upravleniye skladami", "Kaznacheystvo", "Proyekty", "Aktivy", "Glavnaya kniga" and "Finansovaya konsolidation" entered the ERP system.

Implementation did not concern the Comstar-Direkt companies belonging Comstar-OTS (known as the operator of broadband access under the Stream brand) and MGTS. Meanwhile, at Comstar-OTS in Moscow there are own corporate and private clients, and their billing in the new system of accounting is broadcast via the gateway.

Implementation of a new ERP system also avoided regional and foreign "subsidiaries" Comstar-OTS, however in the company "do not exclude expansion of a system on affiliated enterprises and branches". As integrator of the project the relative of Comstar-OTS on AFK "Sistema" — Kvazar-micro company acted.
