Volynfarm (EME WMS)

In September, 2015 EME.WMS system implementation in a new warehouse of the Ukrainian company "Volynfarm" came to the end. Implementation was carried out by our partners – Terakonsalt company. The Volynfarm is large pharmacy chain of Ukraine. They execute wholesale and retail sale of medicines.

Implementation took place in a new warehouse of 3 thousand sq.m. In a warehouse about 15 thousand store cells are selected. Including cells of floor storage and a cell of a zone of a piking for a small-pieces selection. In total in a warehouse about 10 thousand active SKU are processed.

Thanks to flexibility of algorithms and the EME.WMS settings implementation in a warehouse was not difficult, but in the project there were features.

First of all the existing processes were optimized. Removed excess transactions of check and repacking of the order. Assembly of all orders began to be carried out with the data collection terminals (DCT). After start of EME.WMS it was succeeded to reduce the number of personnel by 35%, with preserving of former rate of work. During the peak periods the number of the orders collected in change increased almost by 4 times. At the same time the customer transferred a warehouse to two-shift work (before EME.WMS implementation the warehouse worked in 3 changes).

Implementation of EME.WMS allowed the customer to monitor the movement of each batch and series of goods from arrival before shipment. It allows to trace at any time where each batch and a series was shipped. This important condition for a pharmaceutical warehouse allowing to observe completely the modern legislation.

For ship incomplete packagings, several ampoules or blisters, the separate algorithm was configured. The possibility of EME.WMS to work with different units of measure and with the different level of investments was for this purpose used.

Flexible configurations in a system allowed to select special zones in a warehouse. To the storage area of medicines of list A transfer of orders only to employees with admission is configured. Zones of temperature condition are also selected, the compatibility on groups of goods is considered. For other zones (floors) of a warehouse transfer of orders taking into account a binding of employees is also configured.

Integration between the accounting system of the Customer and EME.WMS was carried out. The customer will apply CIS of own development, but it did not affect terms and quality of integration.

Staff of Volynfarm company noted that with the EME.WMS system it became much more convenient to work at a warehouse, a considerable part of problems is solved.

The company management is enough system implementation – all tasks which were set for implementation, are reached. Expansion of system operation is planned for other warehouses of the company.
