Content

The St. Petersburg Transit Telecom company implements the ERP solution of Microsoft - Microsoft Dynamics AX, the press service of GMCS integrator reported on April 8, 2013.

Start

Requirement of the company for more flexible and configured product having an open architecture for conducting accounting, tax accounting, accomplishment of problems of business management and also in connection with the termination of term of support by the supplier of the former information management system, the management of "St. Petersburg Transit of the Telecom" made the decision on implementation of the ERP system on the Microsoft platform.

Choosing a Solution

Main requirements to a system:

  • completeness of functionality within conducting accounting, tax accounting, GAAP;
  • existence of open interfaces of a system;
  • ease of modification; efficiency of making changes in a system according to the legislation;
  • quality of technical support and also minimization of expenses on implementation and support of a system in the future and risk minimization at system implementation, including in the conditions of strongly deadlines.

As a result the Microsoft Dynamics AX system became an integral part of the project.

Main objective of the project - automation of financial, managerial and tax accounting for the purpose of implementation of a procedure for granting of up-to-date and reliable information about a current status of business activities of the enterprise for ensuring justification and efficiency of acceptance of management decisions.

Deployment

Feature of the project - deadlines: the project is implemented within half a year.

Start of Microsoft Dynamics AX was performed in two stages. The first stage automates section of RAS. The second sections: tax accounting, management accounting and accounting for international standards (GAAP).

One of difficulties of the project, need of accounting of change of the legislation, both for all companies within the VAT, and for the companies working at the telecommunication market regarding change of the Law on communication. For the solution of this task specialists of GMCS company implemented the solution GMCS Telecom based on Microsoft Dynamics AX which corresponds to the new scheme of agency settlings with telecom operators.


Basic functions in a system:

  • Automatic obtaining the reporting under three models of accounting (RAS, Tax accounting, Accounting for international standards (GAAP)) c use of functionality of GMCS Consolidation and GMCS Reporting entering the complete solution GMCS Telecom.
  • Reflection of transactions according to requirements of the legislation and also internal regulations.
  • Cost determination of a fixed asset object on all models of accounting, with maintaining a complete set.
  • Preparation of all primary forms according to requirements of the legislation.
  • Maintaining cash budget c use of the module GMCS Cash Flow entering the complete solution GMCS Telecom.
  • The mechanism of the separate cost accounting is implemented.

Result

At the moment accounting, tax and management accounting and also accounting according to international standards (GAAP) works for customer company.

Microsoft Dynamics AX integrates into a common information space of the company using the developed interfaces with the systems of billing, bank client, "BOSS-personnel officer" which are used by the telecom operator at the moment.

A number of serious problems which allowed to seize powerful benefits is as a result solved:

  • Terms of preparation are reduced and the reliability of managerial reports and data is increased;
  • The program and information support necessary for acceptance of management decisions is implemented;
  • The efficiency of procedures of rendering services and internal control is increased;
  • Time and number of operations on "manual" data entry in a system is reduced, double entry of data is excluded;
  • Conditions and mechanisms of check of correctness of the entered and processed information are created.
