UEC implemented the Uniform Transport Card project in the city of Oryol

Since August 9, 2016 residents of Oryol will be able to pay journey with the Uniform transport card in all types of public transport of the city: buses, trams, trolleybuses and minibuses.

The project is implemented jointly by City administration of Oryol and JSC Regional Information Centre of the Oryol Region (JSC RITs Orlovskoy oblasti) which acts as the operator of the Uniform transport card.

Implementation of a non-cash payment system of journey is, first of all, a convenience – the passenger does not need to carry a trifle as, purchasing the card, he receives a certain number of trips. Three versions of the electronic travel card will be available to residents of Oryol. So, the ticket for 20 trips will cost 300 rubles, on 40 – 560 rubles and on 60 – 720 rubles. Respectively, one trip on the Uniform transport card will cost 15, 14 and 12 rubles whereas a single trip for cash – 16 rubles.

I use the transport card, the passenger can save on journey. For example, if he pays journey with the e-ticket with the maximum quantity of trips, fare decreases by 25% – economy makes about 240 rubles a month.

The city administration of Oryol will also receive several advantages from system implementation of cashless payment of journey. As Andrey Usikov, the head of administration of the city of Oryol noted, the Uniform transport card will make transparent a control system and accounting of trips and a passenger traffic. The city administration will always own relevant statistics that will allow to make diagrams of trips most precisely. As a result, the system of city passenger traffic will be improved in general. "We should provide quality of passenger traffic, and the Monthly transport card will play in this process of one their key roles", - Andrey Usikov emphasized.

As for city carriers, each payment on the Uniform transport card which is read out by the special equipment is fixed in an automated system of accounting of trips. It, in turn, provides data transparency. Such system will allow carrier to control easily a passenger traffic online and to carry out the complex analysis of routes.
