VMware AirWatch Express

VMware AirWatch Express is the MDM platform for management of a corporate mobile environment.

On August 3, 2016 the VMware company announced readiness for release of the simplified version of the platform for management of corporate mobile environments of AirWatch Express.

The MDM platform is focused on the enterprises of the sector of SMB and helps to simplify management of the park of mobile devices. As approves VMware, network administrators will need only several minutes that with its help to organize control of tablets,^[1] smartphones and notebooks^[1].

AirWatch Express is developed on the AirWatch platform created by the company of the same name and absorbed by VMware in January, 2014 for $1.54 billion.

AirWatch Express provides to the enterprises and the organizations:

• control of different devices with Android Apple iOS, Mac OS and Windows 10 from the single console of management;
• creation of containers for protection of confidential corporate data at the levels of the user, the application, the device and network.

Through VMware Identity Manager end users can automatically be connected to corporate networks by means of Wi-Fi and VPN.

AirWatch Express reduces risks of independent setup of security policies by users, helping the companies to control them. For protection of corporate data and prevention of their leak, for example in case of loss or theft of the device, the possibility of remote removal of information saved in it is provided.
