Flashmatrix is the technology platform of analytics of Big Data created on a basis a flash memory.
On August 10, 2016 the Toshiba company announced Flashmatrix release, the platform of analytics of Big Data, created on a basis a flash memory.
According to the statement of developers, the Flashmatrix technology is suitable for satisfaction of the growing needs for solutions for analytics in real time (stream analytics) in the distributed systems expected processing of large volumes of data in the field of production, finance, medicine and security.
In this superconvergent infrastructure the integrated elements for calculation, storage and network data exchange optimized for performance improvement are applied. By means of architecture a flash memory of NAND organized in the form of a matrix the Flashmatrix technology provides parallel access to several data sets and linear scaling. The flash memory of NAND is shared by all processors, providing flexibility and high performance. All platform is executed in the body 2U high and allows linear scaling at the level of a rack. The Flashmatrix technology is optimized for decrease in energy consumption.
Processing of Big Data can face different problems of scaling, waiting time and energy consumption in process of growth of customer needs. The Flashmatrix technology is intended for the solution of each of these problems and creation of the real systems of analytical data processing with low power consumption, parallel processing for decrease in waiting time, scaling board-level and the large volume of a non-volatile memory, shared all processors. The Flashmatrix technology is continuation of strategy of Toshiba company on continuous development of the innovative technologies for optimal use a flash memory of NAND.
