Information on the customer
"The national educational and training center of training of mine rescuers and miners" was constructed in Novokuznetsk in 2015. The idea of creation of the Center was voiced in 2010. It was supported by the Government of the Russian Federation. Construction of a unique educational complex began two years later. Initially in the Center creation of the most modern educational system using the latest methodologies and information technologies was planned.
Project Objective
The task of development and deployment of a system of training of mine rescuers and miners with elements of virtual reality was set for a project team. This solution is intended for increase in efficiency and safety of works in the mine and also rescue operations. Use of a system should help to reduce percent of accidents and also damage from economic and environmental impacts of accidents.
Implementation course
At a stage of preproject inspection the analysis of a current status of process of training of mine rescuers and miners was carried out and possibilities of use of information technologies for increase in process performance of training and advanced training of personnel are defined. The list of the software, necessary for creation of a training system, and the equipment (projectors, screens, generators of the image, audio systems and other auxiliary equipment) was made.
At a design stage the complete structure of the hardware-software solution based on the client-server architecture is constructed. The necessary software applications allowing to create images of the naturalistic "virtual mine" and to provide personnel training with immersion in virtual reality were developed.
In the course of further project implementation specialized training rooms were equipped, the special equipment and software is installed and configured, personnel training is provided and test operation of the created system is performed. Installation of a system included also deployment of wire and wireless networks and also monitoring systems and managements.
Results
Using the created training system with elements of virtual reality carrying out preparation and retraining of mine rescuers, miners and members of auxiliary mine-rescue commands in number of not less than 5000 people a year is supposed. Learning process provides working off of skills of use of all available regular mine equipment and also specifics, including special equipment of miners and rescuers.
A system can be used both for personal, and for group training. In one of three created educational halls three persons, in another – 20, in the third – 35 can be trained at the same time.
For the deepest immersion in virtual reality in the hall on 20 people the Subsystem 360" is created ". It is equipped with the cylindrical screen with a diameter of 10 meters with circular visibility 360 ° (in the horizontal plane from a zone of arrangement of group of students in the hall). During the occupations on the screen the video image representing the environment of the virtual coal mine is projected. Media control of the virtual mine is exercised in real time. A system supports modes 2D and 3D, is completely interactive and has an ability to manage, as from the first, and third party. In virtual environment of the mine the mine rescuers equipped according to requirements of the militarized mine-rescue parts of the Russian Federation and also the mine equipment located in places, appropriate technology of production are displayed.
In learning process different scenarios of work in the mine, or non-staff emergency situations (the fire, gas explosion, the collapse of a roof, fault of the equipment, etc.) are started.
All educational halls are equipped with speaker systems of volume sounding, the projector equipment (Barco brand) for removal of the video image on the screen, portable control panels for trainees and the teacher, simulators of gas analyzers and thermometers, 3D points of barrier type creating illusion of dimensions of the stereoimage and other necessary equipment. The computing equipment necessary for ensuring functioning of a subsystem is placed in server.
A system provides authentication and differentiation of access rights of the Teacher and Listener and keeps the magazine of authorizations.
All technical solutions used at system development and also requirements to the hardware, correspond to present rules and regulations of the security regulation, fire safety and explosion safety and also environmental protection at operation that is confirmed by an expert way on the basis of the existing documents of Emercom of Russia.
