MIC: Elbrus

Elbrus is a line of DWH.

On August 25, 2016 United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation declared determination for release on the market of the Russian Federation product lines of DWH.

Systems are created on the basis of 4-core Elbrus processors and, according to the statement of the company, are capable to process capacity petabytes, being united in a cluster.

DWH producer - the Omsk company "Promobit". According to Leonid Hozin, the head of the press service of a MIC, the cost of DWH Elbrus will be comparable with analogs. The market will see products of the company in the spring of 2017. The first batches are expected in hundreds of units^[1].

The equipment of DWH is intended for work with big arrays of information, including during creation of data processing centers and systems of high-performance computing. The company did not report parameters of capacity of DWH Elbrus, but let know - horizontally scalable architecture will allow to integrate, upon the demand of the customer, group of DWH in a data storage cluster capacity in several petabyte.

According to the statement of a MIC, DWH Elbrus has advantage over foreign analogs - it supports any disks known in the market that helps to optimize expenses. Reliability of storage is provided due to duplication of information, noiseproof coding and replication in remote data centers and cloud storages.

Assembly, installation of the built-in software, adjustment and service maintenance execute specialists based on Institute of electronic managing machines (INEUM) of I.S. Brook. A software platform of DWH - Elbrus OS.

These are first in the Russian market protected by DWH, constructed on the Russian processors, circuit engineering and software. A system is capable to provide storage of all information in scales of large department or enterprise numbering several thousand people are financial, engineering and other documentation, data of ERP- and CRM systems, electronic archives, records from surveillance cameras, etc. This product is designed to replace import analogs in strategically important industries, in the state organizations and departments where increased requirements are imposed to data protection.
