On August 26, 2016 the corporation Western Digital Corporation announced implementation of the joint solution HGST Active Archive System and Versity Storage Manager for creation of private cloud infrastructure of data storage by the company Ovation Data Services, Inc..

Company Ovation Data Services, Inc. made the decision on creation of cloud infrastructure for the enterprises operating in the field of media and entertainments, the oil and gas industry. Tools of the organization of quick and continuous access to the used and contemporary records are necessary for these enterprises.

The scalable solution of data storage helps to optimize management processes by means of a uniform panel for management of copying and automatic multilevel storage in object storages and the tape systems. OvationData selected the solution HGST Active Archive System and Versity Storage Manager for simplicity of implementation, support of work with files, compatibility with requirements Amazon S3, a possibility of horizontal scaling and support of object-oriented data storage.
