NCI: Secure System of Data Storage (SSDS)

Product
Developers: National Center of Informatization (NCI)
Date of the premiere of the system: 2016
Branches: Military industrial complex,  Government and social institutions,  Mechanical engineering and instrument making
Technology: DWH

The "National Center of Informatization" (NCI) entering into Rostec Group developed a technology platform for creation of the secure systems of data storage (SSDS) of superlarge volumes – from several petabyte to tens exabyte. The solution created using domestic technologies meets the highest requirements for security and reliability of data storage.

"Subsidiary" of Rostec submitted the platform for creation of secure systems of data storage of superlarge volumes

ZSHD can be used in security agencies and other executive authorities for storage and information processing including containing the state secret and also in the scientific organizations and business companies which should work with data bulks. Besides, the platform can become a technology basis in the project of creation of the Russian infrastructure of Internet of Things (IoT) and other major problems.

"We created a technology platform which can be used for implementation of a number of projects of national scale in which storage of large and superlarge volumes of data, for example, of creation of end-to-end systems of security, creation of the solution "Smart City", complete informatization of medicine and others is required", - Konstantin Solodukhin, the CEO of NCI comments.

Allows to create the solution both object storage systems, and distributed. ZSHD means a repeated replitsirovaniye of the stored data that extremely reduces risk of loss of information also as much as possible increases reliability of a system. It is executed according to the failsafe scheme - in case of accident recovery happens within 15 minutes without the termination of data access. Using the solution it is possible not only to increase fault tolerance of DPC, to store information and to increase access rate to it, but also to cut down infrastructure maintenance costs due to implementation of the advanced domestic program developments and use of the equipment localized by United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation of Rostec Group.

At the heart of DWH there are products "Microcode" – low-level software for control of the equipment, OS and Aurora DBMS. Aurora OS is developed by specialists of NCI. It is the protected OS of the class GNU/Linux which conforms to requirements of information security to the 3rd class of security of computer engineering means from NSD and to the 2nd level of absence control of NDV. A system supports protocols and data access methods: iSCSI, NFS 4.x and CIFS/SMB 2.1, object access using the Cinder, Manila and Swift, Hadoop DFS API methods including Apache Map Reduce API. The solution supports replication of data on IP channels. DBMS is created based on PostgreSQL.

DWH is tested with the equipment released by Rostec add to NCI
