AMT Group completed the project on development of strategy of technical development of multiservice MPLS/Ethernet-network of JSC Kazakhtelecom till 2015. The proposed architectural and technical solutions will allow to provide cost efficiency and competitiveness of the operator in the telecommunication market of Kazakhstan.
The strategy of technical development includes process description of creation of the high-performance and high-scalable multiterabit backbone package and optical transport network providing considerable decrease in cost value of transport using a packet of the advanced optical technologies of new generation (NG DWDM), and mobile backhaul of the network integrated with zone package optical networks, city and trunk packet networks.
Creation of highly effective packet service networks using the centralized architecture is provided. Traditional networks SDH are supposed to be replaced with high-performance package and optical transport intra-zone networks. Integration of a backbone package and optical transport network with packet service networks and with intra-zone transport networks will be carried out.
In addition, strategy provides implementation of IPv6 protocol on networks of the operator and also creation of an access network using GPON technology.
By preparation specialists of AMT Group led strategy the analysis of global trends in development of multiservice MPLS/Ethernet-networks, technologies and architecture of creation of multiservice networks, the proposed leading manufacturers of telecommunication equipment and solutions. Also specifications of standardization organizations and industry associations were studied, perspectives of growth of level of traffic and access rates are considered.
Audit of the existing infrastructure of the operator became an important part of the project. The audit purpose – identification of scaling options of the existing architecture, technologies and the equipment and determination of restrictions for increase in productivity, opportunities of adding of new services, extent of increase in capital costs and operating expenses.
Jointly with specialists Kazakhtelecom requirements to network transmission capacity and new services until 2015, with breakdown by years were created. Requirements to the level of fault tolerance, QoS, analysis systems and traffic managements, to optimization appliances of loading of external channels and increases in profitability (DPI, CDN) are defined. Issues of centralization of network management, ensuring control, monitoring and management (OAM) at all levels and segments of package transport and services are handled.
As a result the perspective architecture and service model for each type of service, optimal technology for each architectural level of JSC Kazakhtelecom network is selected. The potential structure of the equipment for each of the selected technologies is defined.
2009
In 2009 specialists of AMT Group constructed IP network of new generation on the basis of optical network solutions of Cisco for Kazakhtelecom company. The project became the CIS's first and one of first-ever installation of Cisco IPoDWDM technology using functionality of virtual transponders and one of the first-ever sharing of IPoDWDM and Omni-directional DWDM technologies.
