Leroy Merlin implemented VKS for internal needs

On September 7, 2016 the LantaGroup company announced an implementation project of a system of a video conferencing by request of retailer "Leroy Merlin".

Specialists of the contractor unrolled the VKS system, set up the equipment for negotiation^[1]:

• LifeSize video terminals
• 55-inch prof panels of Samsung.

The project is executed within six months.

Project Results

For the organization of video conference the pool of the virtual servers Pexip Infinity is used. For convenience of using the solution is integrated with the deployed Skype For Business service.

As a result of start of services the customer reduced the number of business trips of employees. The system of video conferences supports interaction of staff of retailer irrespective of their location, in the presence of engineering devices for holding a conference and Internet connection.

In a complex a system allows to organize conferences with participation: users of S4B of the company; external users of S4B; internal negotiation VKS with LifeSize terminals, the negotiation other companies entering into Groupe ADEO; any external VIDEOCONFERENCING terminals (Avaya, Polycom, etc.); users with mobile devices (iOS, Android, Win); users browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox).

In the course of video conference participants can communicate and see each other in high resolution (to 1080p), to work jointly on documents (demonstration of a desktop, separate window, the application, etc.) from a workplace.

The project was intended for cost reduction on business trips, the organization of convenient tools for holding meetings, the working groups and synergies. One of key requirements was creation of the simple tool in use, the organization of a connectivity without use of software clients both from specially equipped premises, and from a workplace and mobile devices. A system managed to be designed and started for all points of presence of the company (Go Run) in short terms — within four months, a system passed into Go Live after two months (the stabilization period).
