Development of a single chart of accounts for internal and external reporting
As part of the implementation of a unified consolidated reporting system, BearingPoint has developed a unified chart of accounts for internal and external reporting. unified methodology for the transformation of financial statements in accordance with RAS standards to IFRS standards, followed by consolidation on the basis of SAP SEM-BCS, As a result, SUEK accelerated the transformation and consolidation process, has made significant progress with respect to the preparation of the monthly consolidated financial statements and has received additional opportunities for the analysis of the consolidated financial statements, including the possibility of a plan/actual analysis.
Develop chart of accounts for internal and external reporting
The aim of the project was to reduce the time required by SUEK to transform the Group's financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards, as well as to reduce the time for preparing consolidated financial statements while improving the quality of data, harmonizing budget and actual data, harmonizing internal and external reporting, as well as determining an effective and transparent transformation and consolidation process.
The project was implemented by BearingPoint consultants and SUEK specialists from March 2006 to March 2007. The project included about 140 reporting units of the SUEK Group.
As a result of the implementation of the project, a single chart of accounts was developed for the formation of internal and external reporting, and a unified methodology for the transformation of financial statements in accordance with RAS standards to IFRS standards with subsequent consolidation. The implemented methodology was fully implemented on SAP SEM-BCS. During the project, more than 350 users were trained in five Russian regions where SUEK operates (Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Khakassia, Leninsk-Kuznetsk, Irkutsk and Primorye).
