Content

For the purpose of automation of key business challenges and increase in effective management of production processes the management of "The Bashkir soda company" made the decision on system implementation "Galaktika ERP". The Galaktika corporation having extensive work experience with the key Russian companies of a manufacturing sector became the supplier of IT solution and the partner in project implementation.

Customer

The joint-stock company Bashkir Soda Company (JSC BSK) is formed in May, 2013 by a join path of JSC Soda and JSC Kaustik. Today JSC BSK — one of the largest chemical complexes of the country.

The company wins first place in Russia on production of the calcinated and baking soda, the second place on production of PVC and caustic soda and also is one of leaders in production of cable plastic compounds.

The enterprise is the only producer of a tereftaloilkhlorid, anodes about ruthenium - an iridium covering, the flokulyant of polyelectrolyte cationic.

The geography of deliveries of products of JSC Bashkir Soda Company covers Russia, the CIS countries, Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

For quality products, participation in development of economy of the country and integration into world economy the enterprise is awarded the Gold prize "For Technology and Quality", a gold medal of the Swiss business club "For a Faultless Goodwill", awards "the International Gold Star", the Golden Globe.

In total for the last decade the enterprise gained more than 100 diplomas. Among awards of JSC BSK — an award of the President of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the field of quality.

Problems of automation

Need of complex approach to solving of tasks of management of economic economic activity of the enterprise arose approximately in 2005. For increase in efficiency of management processes at the enterprise it was necessary to automate, first of all, such functional units as:

  • Management of supply, warehouse logistics, accounting of rendering and consumption of services
  • Management of implementation of finished goods
  • Accounting and tax accounting
  • Management of production logistics at the enterprise
  • Management of actual cost of products and semi-finished products

Solution

The start of the project took place in 2007. Within the project specialists of Galaktika corporation conducted examination of the processes requiring automation, executed installation, completion and setup of standard functionality, provided its start in commercial operation, provided user training to work with the implemented system modules.

The project was executed in several stages. In 2007 according to the results of inspection of processes at the enterprise the project of automation of the enterprise on the platform of the Galaktika ERP system was developed. The first stage of the project lasted from 2008 to 2010 and affected control automation by logistics, implementations of finished goods and accounting.

The second stage, from 2010 to 2014, included automation of tax accounting, personnel management, management of actual cost, managements of repairs, controls of transport. Now at the enterprise works on process automation of planning of the capital investments are performed, there is a development of process automation of management of repairs.

Result

First of all, the unified information system for the solution and support of key business challenges for two industrial platforms of the enterprise is created. Before implementation of "Galaktika ERP" in the Bashkir soda company a large number of different solutions for automation of the separate tasks and activities (The MAH system, developments based on 1C, Fox Pro, Delpfi) which occasionally are not giving a complete functional covering was used. For example, accounting was automated only partially, a number of accounting functions was executed in the manual mode. A part of tasks was automated using "self-written" IT systems. All this significantly braked a company performance, created obstacles for operational acceptance of management decisions and complexity at maintenance of diverse information systems, required additional labor costs of personnel of the enterprise.

Today all key business challenges are supported in the Galaktika ERP system. The enterprise had an opportunity of more effective expense of budgetary funds, having excluded costs for a support and maintenance of numerous information systems, at the enterprise the centralized support of changes of the legislation is performed. Earlier all legislative changes had to be implemented in the different systems that required additional labor costs of personnel and time. In the Galaktika ERP system these changes are considered automatically.

Work of all departments of the enterprise is based in the general information space and by uniform rules on the basis of uniform normative and help base. It opens new opportunities for development of the IT system according to business needs.

Considerable part of work fell on completions of the ready-made solution which reflect specifics of the enterprise. So, completions on process automation of management of repairs, the block on accounting of the movement of materials in production were executed. The block of calculation of actual cost of products also required adaptation under requirements of the enterprise. One of the interesting directions connected with completions — creation of the payment schedule on the basis of user requirements from finance division. Also reporting forms, necessary for the enterprise, were developed.

During the course of performance works on implementation of the separate modules ERP systems user training was provided.

Now in the Galaktika ERP system more than 1400 users are registered, and the number of at the same time working users reaches 800 people. An ERP system is integrated with the solution "Galaxy EAM" intended for management of production assets and also a set of other local specialized systems (the system of providing access control, the system of weight control, requirements planning into MTR by workshops, the PCS based on Honeywell, etc.). More than 80 production workshops and about 20 services and departments of the enterprise conduct the activity with the help "Galaktika ERP".

For the purpose of development of the ERP system carrying out process automation of planning of logistics is planned: the organization of purchasing campaigns, conducting target accounting, implementation of process of reservation of inventory items, accounting of an expense of Inventories under specific repair and construction works and many other things.
