NAOS Ship and Boat Design completed implementation of platform 3DExperience

On September 15, 2016 the Dassault Systèmes company announced implementation of industry solutions of Designed for Sea and Optimized Production for Sea in NAOS Ship and Boat Design company.

Project Results

The NAOS Ship and Boat Design company implemented platform 3DExperience for virtual creation of master models superjyakht and their integrated management, since digital design and finishing with creation of the manufacturing documentation.

Using solutions Designed for Sea and Optimized Production for Sea, NAOS integrated all processes of work on design, design, production processes in unified virtual environment for productive joint work in real time^[1].

With project completion the NAOS bureau had an opportunity to develop during time virtual tests of projectible fragments and functions of a superjyakhta.

Besides, the company had an opportunity to collect and reuse the existing data, to work with changes in the project, quickly reacting to the changing requirements, to plan production at the very beginning of design process and to create high-quality documentation for construction of a framework of a hull and for production of all vessel, documentation for the ship systems, their installation.

In the past we happened to work with the different shipbuilding CAD systems at project development superjyakht for shipyards, but we wanted to implement new, more effective approach which is provided by the business platform. Industry solutions of Designed for Sea and Optimized Production for Sea allow us to make as fast as possible the decisions concerning all changes in the project which are connected with stability, the main construction, specialized structured design or security issues. Now we can also carry out all works on development of design and design of a superjyakhta with much more high efficiency.
