APC SmartX Controller AS-B

SmartX Controller AS-B is the server device in a line of controllers for the solution SmartStruxure.

On September 22, 2016 the APC by Schneider Electric company provided the SmartX Controller AS-B controller for the iBMS systems. The device is focused on creation of the compact systems of automated management of the building.

SmartStruxure is a powerful intelligent system of management of the building (iBMS), it is capable to reduce consumption of energy resources to 30%. For the organization of systems of this kind the company releases a line of controllers, sensors and drives under the SmartX brand. The company considers the SmartX AS-B controller optimal for the organization of the compact systems with a small or average amount of points of control.

SmartX AS-B continues SmartStruxure IP solution architecture. Existence of two ports Ethernet helps to extend communications of BACnet IP to the level of field controllers. By means of such solution the server device provides to the automation system a number of opportunities:

• flexibility of architecture;
• collecting of bigger quantity of statistical data;
• simplicity of search and fault recovery;

Eight models of SmartX Controller AS-B devices are brought to the market. They differ with quantity of points of input-output, existence or lack of manual control and opportunities of communication.

Capacity of the SmartX AS-B controller is rather high, as well as amount of RAM. It has a compact body, the integrated inputs and exits, part of them - the fixed appointment. Use of modern components caused a possibility of setup of the majority of points of input-output for connection of different types of sensors or drives.

The controller is equipped built in electric power supply, can be used for a power supply of the SmartX Controller AD display.
