The ITMO University equipped a conference room with the system of multimedia

On September 26, 2016 the Beltel company announced project completion of delivery, installation of the multimedia interactive equipment and creation of a system of multimedia equipment of a conference room by request of the ITMO University.

Project Tasks

For demonstration and visualization of results of modeling, development of the difficult innovation products requiring the realistic image university held a competition on delivery and installation of the multimedia interactive equipment. Within the project multimedia equipment of a conference room for meetings of the management of the university, work of the working groups and conferences, including in the mode of video conferences was required.

The body of the university where it was necessary to carry out project works, is located in the former house of merchants Yeliseyev, on Birzhevaya liniya, in St. Petersburg – an object of cultural heritage^[1].

Project Progress

Within the project specialists of the contractor installed the equipment in two premises: to the bedroom and living room of the merchant Yeliseyev.

In the first premises intended for meetings of the management and conferences the interactive videowall of 3650 x 1370 mm in size on the basis of six professional LG 55 panels is installed". The videowall is equipped with an infrared touch frame and supports work in the mode to 40 simultaneous contacts.

Except the touch videowall - information display subsystems, a conference room it is equipped with the equipment for presentation actions. The system of a video conferencing is integrated into the operating infrastructure of VKS of the university that allows to be connected to audio-and video conferences to the employees working at different platforms of university.

The second interactive videowall of the similar size will be used for development of visual interactive interfaces of the information systems created by university.

Project Results

Multimedia infrastructure corresponds to solvable tasks.

Modern multimedia and touch technologies are the fine innovation tool opening ample opportunities both at the organization of educational process and when carrying out evident demonstrations of results of development.
