At the end of September, 2016 the Sberbank of Russia summed up the auction results on delivery of licenses of the software of VMware[1]. To the largest Russian bank the solutions VMware vCloud Suite 7 Standart and VMware vCenter Server 6 Standart for vSphere 6 were required.

Sberbank bought solutions of VMware for $12.5 million

VMware vCloud Suite Standard represents the integrated solution integrating VMware vSphere hypervisor in editions Enterprise Plus for vCloud Suite and the VMware vRealize Suite platform in edition Standard. The VMware vCloud Suite Standard complex has all necessary for creation of the automated virtual environments.

VMware vCenter Server Standard is the software for control of servers and virtualization providing the centralized platform for management of the VMware vSphere environments. By means of vCenter Server an opportunity to automate and provide virtual infrastructure is provided. Besides, the solution provides the centralized control and visualization of all components of virtual infrastructure, tracking of a status and arrangement of virtual machines, providing information on use of disk and file storages, etc.

The starting price of purchase was $12.6 million (about 787 million rubles), at the same time over 97.5% of the total cost fell to the share of the first solution. As for limits of a license metrics, according to terms of the contract, neither the number of users, nor the number of processors, is limited within three years from the date of transfer of licenses.

3 companies participated in an auction: "Verisel-Trading", "O-Si-Es-Solyushnz" and "Mont". The best price offer – $12.537 million (about 783 million rubles), arrived from "Verisel-Trading". This company was also announced by the winner.
