History

2009

In March there were changes in a shareholding structure of Socrates investment group. Roman Sazonov who was earlier holding a post of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FC Socrates Ltd left a shareholding structure of FC Socrates Ltd and became the individual owner of Sokrat Management Company LLC. Valery Nilov who was earlier holding a post of the President of FC Socrates Ltd became the solution of general shareholder meeting, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of FC Socrates Ltd.

2008

In October the Socrates Asia company obtained the license of the State management committee state property of the Republic of Uzbekistan on implementation of professional activity according to the securities trading, in particular, on implementation of broker activity.

Andrey Snegirev is appointed the chairman of the board of FC Socrates Ltd.

In June of FC Socrates Ltd obtained the license of the State Securities Commission and to the stock market (GKTsBFR) of Ukraine on implementation of the securities management.

In May the Socrates group created Socrates Asia company in the city of Tashkent (Uzbekistan).

Since April, 2008 Socrates is a partner of the Vienna stock exchange.

Socrates created new activities:

• privat-banking — includes full range of services on formation of individual financial strategy, portfolio management, financial planning and also other finance solutions for private, corporate and institutional clients.

• art banking (within privat-banking) — includes a full service package on formation of portfolios (collections) from objects of art of investment quality according to individual investment strategies;

• trust management — the range of services focused on the investors wishing to increase the capital, having reduced investment risks.

The company of FC Socrates expanded a range of services for foreign investors in connection with obtaining the general license for carrying out currency transactions.

2007

Socrates received the status of the official IPO partner of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE). Within partnership of Socrates acts as the investment adviser of the Ukrainian companies aimed at attraction of financing due to share placing. Socrates is an exclusive partner in Ukraine Global M&A. The partnership purpose — cooperation within attraction of financing in international markets of the capital and implementation of transactions on merges and absorption.

2006

Socrates signed the agreement on strategic partnership with the Polish financial company "Capital One Advisers" — one of the most professional advisers for the IPO on WSE. "The Socrates management company which is a part of investment group signed the agency agreement with JSC INDEKS-BANK according to which obtaining information on the mechanism of investment and acquisition of investment certificates of the Premium family under control of UK "Socrates" became possible in all departments of JSC INDEKS-BANK. This event is the first precedent of cooperation of bank structure and KUA in the Ukrainian market of financial services.

2005

The Socrates investment group acted as the partner of the International Finance Corporation in holding the 1st International Forum "Perspectives of the Ukrainian Companies in the Markets of Primary Public Placements (IPO)". More than 100 Ukrainian and foreign companies, including Baker & McKenzie., Clifford Chance, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Wimm-Bill-Dann (Russia), Matav Group (Hungary), Turkcell (Turkey), NYSE, etc. took part in work of the Forum.

2004

Creation as a part of Socrates investment group is Socrates capital LLC, the company which main activity, business valuation, property rights and securities is.

2003

Socrates selected in the separate legal entity of Finansovuyu kompaniyu Sokrat LLC — the licensed Keeper of securities, the member of PARD (Professional association of registrars and depositaries). The company provides to clients a full range of depository services of the Keeper of securities. The Socrates management company — the licensed ISI asset management company, the member UAIB (Ukrainian Association of Investment Business) is created ".

2002

Socrates, for the first time for the Ukrainian insurance market, attracted to domestic insurance company of the portfolio investor on behalf of the Polish reinsurance society "Polish Re" who acquired 25%+1 share of JSC Skayd-Vest. During 2002 the company performed a number of large transactions with the control and blocking packets of the leading Ukrainian insurance companies among which there are ASKO-medical Service Ltd and SK "Alkona".

2001

Socrates and League of Insurance Companies of Ukraine signed the Partnership agreement and cooperation in the field of attraction of domestic and foreign investments into an insurance sector; planning, development and program implementation of development of insurance companies; uses of different instruments of the stock market by insurance companies.

2000

Socrates becomes the consultant of the enterprises — members of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in the directions: search of investors, attraction of financing, the organization of issues of corporate securities, carrying out a number of the actions concerning investment activities. Socrates actively cooperates with specialized departments of USPP concerning improvement of the legislation.

1994: Creation of the company
