Fortrent completed examination of readiness for use of cloud computing

On October 24, 2016 the ALAN IT company announced the draft of the analysis of IT infrastructure of Fortrent LLC regarding readiness for use of cloud computing.

In 2016 the management of Fortrent LLC set the task of reconciliation of license compliance of software of Microsoft, for assessment of the existing license agreement. Carried out reduction of jobs to the companies and there was a question of licensing optimization.

Project Progress

On the basis of the revealed requirements specialists ALAN IT offered the SAM Cloud-Ready project - it includes a complete inventory and detailed analysis of "cloud" subscriptions.

Data collection is carried out in 13 divisions, in all branches of the company.

Project Results

In the course of the project the analysis of readiness of IT infrastructure of Fortrent LLC for migration is carried out to a cloud taking into account the set and used software, data on licensing. Assessment includes shared state of readiness for migration in a cloud taking into account business needs, situations of licensing and technology advantages of transfer in a cloud of a part of infrastructure.

Within the project recommendations about transition to the corresponding tariff plans O365 are developed and servers which were required to be transferred to Azure are estimated. According to the statement of partners, execution of recommendations of the project will ensure smooth operation of infrastructure and will cut down operating expenses of the company.
