NSG-Series is a line of routers for several segments of the market.
Routers from NSG company. Hardware platforms

2016
On October 25, 2016 the Network Systems Group company announced release of a line of the devices focused on use on the Ethernet networks and wireless.
NSG–5260 is the backbone router
The flagman NSG device is intended for a core of corporate networks and peripheral networks of service providers. The device is equipped with 2 ports 10GbE and 6 ports GbE, RAM up to 64 GB, has two reserved power sources with hot swap.
Work with hardware high-speed performance on all ports — 52 Gbps — provide the specialized communication processor NXP (before Freescale) to QorIQ P5040 (one of seniors in this line — 4 cores, 2.2 GHz, 64-bit architecture of PowerPC) and various hardware accelerators. The device is placed in 1U of a standard 19-inch rack.
Together with the router the company offers NSG-5000 series as a hardware platform for third-party developers and custom projects. It can be the serial chassis from NSG–5260 delivered without software of NSG and motherboards in a format from mini-ITX to full-ATX. On the basis of these products a wide number of various devices — workstations, servers, file storages, firewalls, security gateways, etc. can be created.
NSG–1700 is the access router
The line of NSG-1700 routers is focused first of all on functioning as a part of the solutions M2M and IoT — connections of ATMs, remote technology platforms, etc. The computing core is collected on the basis of the i.MX6 processor.

The device allows to connect remote platforms, both on land, and through wireless channels, using 2–3 diverse channels for reservation. Possibilities of reservation of channels in the products NSG are supported with corporate uiTCP technology (un-interruptible TCP) which provides transparent switching from one communication channel to another.
NSG–1700 can be completed with the second RS-232 port, additional Ethernet-port, port 1-Wire to which the large number of external accessories can be connected:

- voltage sensors of back-up batteries,
- power sockets of 220 V for restart of ATMs and inclusion/switching off of other equipment on remote platforms.

NSG–2030 is office router
The NSG-2030 device is intended for connection of offices on gigabit channels of service providers - copper, fiber-optical.
The NXP QorIQ LS1021 processor provides physical high-speed performance of the line. Routing speed at this device of 120 thousand packets/pages. Optionally in the device the module LTE for an alternative channel of connection and Wi-Fi for the organization of a wireless network at office can be established.
NSG–2031 is modification of NSG-2030 in 19" the body. Optionally in the body can be established HDD/SSD. The company positions this model as the central gateway of security for service of a large number of low-speed clients (ATMs) connected on VPN different types — IPsec OpenVPN, etc.
Existence of the hard drive allows to use the device as the data warehouse or a file server.

Routers of this line work under control of software of NSG Linux 2.x and are focused on application in the modern Ethernet-centric and wireless networks. Dynamic and difficult static routing, various types of tunnels and VPN, QoS, support of SNMP and Zabbix — the most noticeable opportunities.
For control of the device the web and console interface can be used - possibilities of interfaces are almost similar. During the work in CLI the corporate command language is used. Both interfaces represent balance between power and complexity of the Linux tools, on the one hand, and simplicity of the cut-down, highly specialized configurations, with another. Devices it is possible to use and configure as normal Linux machine.
In addition to the system of configuring, original program developments of NSG include uiTCP technology. It is the corporate VPN suitable for transfer of any type of traffic. Its main difference from the known standard solutions consists in maintenance of an uninterrupted session of the application software when changing communication channels "on the fly". At the same time, despite temporary loss of communication, change of the operator and the public IP address, the uninterrupted session of the application software or a tunnel working over them is supported. One more original development — SMS management; the possibility of installation of cellular options for management by the SMS or on independent channel LTE/3G is provided for all new models, including senior.
The third relevant opportunity for applied tasks — the designer of algorithms for event handling both on the device, and on the sensors and controllers connected to it, working by the principle "event action".
