On October 31, 2016 the Axelot company announced the project of creation of "RFID tunnel" - a hardware and software system for control of movement of the equipment, tools and personnel in zones of the opened equipment at accomplishment of repair work on the Smolensk NPP.
Project Tasks
Specifics of work of the NPP and increased requirements to security caused need in creations of the tool, within tasks of automation by means of which the possibility of leaving by personnel of working tools and the special equipment in zones of carrying out repair work on the opened equipment was prevented.
It was required to organize registration and accounting of bringing/carrying out of the equipment and tools, an input and output of employees in a zone of repair work with automatic formation of the RPDZ magazine (the magazine of registration of the objects delivered in a works zone with opening of the equipment) and the register of the left property. If "on an input" in a zone the lack of admission at the employee or prohibition on bringing in the tool comes to light, the hardware and software system should give a signal of it. Using a complex it was supposed to reduce time for reporting.
Before specialists of the contractor there were several tasks solved during the project:
- development and deployment of the hardware and software system on the basis of the "1C: Inventory and Property Management" system
- the choice of an optimal method of fastening of RFID tags on tools and the special equipment
- approbation of technology in actual practice works for the NPP for an exception of any possible errors.
Project Progress
On the basis of the examinations conducted by Axelot, a hardware and software system the RFID Portal is submitted by components:
- space frame,
- antenna and reader;
- observer-controller's notebook,
- RFID data collection terminal,
- specialized printer
- software.
Project Results
Registration procedure of movements of personnel, tools, the special equipment and safety devices in a works zone with opening of the equipment is implemented by the performed works. The list of the personnel allowed in a repair zone, the register of the objects permitted to a bringing are loaded into a system from spreadsheets. Appropriate certificates are printed on badges of employees and on an input in a zone of repair work admission is strictly controlled.
On the basis of the analyzed data the RPDZ magazine forms and issued. Reports "Register of the left tool and special equipment" and "The time spent in a repair zone" are developed, the subsystem of surveys for registration of installation and removal of safety devices (stubs) using a data collection terminal is configured.
Reduction of time for registration of an input and output of employees in a repair zone, fast and exact reporting on the basis of data retrieveds became the main project deliverable. Implementation of a hardware and software system gave the chance to strengthen control of existence of admissions and to increase safety of conducting works.
