Raidix delivered DWH of Raidix Aero in branches of Rosreestr

The Raidix company announced in November, 2016 delivery of DWH to Rosreestr for the solution of office tasks of branches of Federal Service for State Registration, Cartography and Cadastre on the Novgorod and Novosibirsk regions.

Processing of large volumes of data both on federal, and at the regional level required use of DWH in the different regional centers for support of office processes and internal IT infrastructure. In 2015 branches of Cadastral chamber on the Novgorod and Novosibirsk regions showed interest in delivery of productive and scalable DWH.

Key requirements of the customer were: lack of uniform points of failure and possibility of "hot" replacement of disks, power supplies and elements of cooling; complete fault tolerance at the minimum redundancy of the equipment; support of the data access protocols Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, SMB, FTP, AFP; the high not reduced performance and fast recovery of an array even at failure of several disks.

In a type of functional and commercial advantages the winner of competition recognized a storage system of Raidix Aero 216. This model represents two-controller vertically scalable system 3U on 16 disks using the Fibre Channel interface (4 x 8 Gb FC).

The Raidix technology provided fault tolerance and optimal speed of calculations thanks to implementation of the RAID 6, 10 and 7.3 levels. The last ensures safety of data and quick access to information even at simultaneous failure of any three disks in RAID group. Besides, the software technology as a part of DWH includes a search mechanism and elimination of the hidden errors on hard drives and function of partial reconstruction (in case of a single error only a part of a disk with the damaged data, but not all disk is reconstructed, explained in the company).
