Fujitsu Surient Managed Rack

Surient Managed Rack is a system for physical protection of data processing centers. The technical technological solution is created for protection of 19-inch racks against a non-authorized access.

On November 3, 2016 Fujitsu announced release in the region of EMEIA of the solution Fujitsu SURIENT Managed Rack. It is the first model within a new product family of Fujitsu SURIENT which is created for gain of protection of DPC, transactions of data transmission and devices of users.

SURIENT Managed Rack is developed for prevention of unauthorized physical access to servers, storage systems and components of networks by means of technology of biometric authentication PalmSecure and special electromechanical locking gears and sensors.

The door of a rack can be opened after its unblocking and access check. To open a door, the authorized employee should be authenticated by means of the PalmSecure ID Match system recognizing the drawing of veins of a palm of the user. Opening and closing is controlled by sensors. Sensors of vibration will recognize and transfer information on cracking attempts. All activity is registered in a monitoring system.

By means of a software and hardware complex of the company can organize completely controlled access to the equipment of DPC according to powers of the employees. All cases of access are registered according to requirements of audits. A system can be integrated into the operating infrastructure of DPC as the main solution for compliance to requirements for physical protection.
