However thanks to acquisition of the scanner these books will be transferred to an electronic form, readers will have an opportunity without restrictions to study digital copies, and originals will go to restoration and preservation. In addition to books and magazines from fund of the rare book in organization are going to digitize local history literature. Also there is a translation program in a digital format of editions within preparation for Maxim Gorky's anniversary: in 2018 150 years since the birth of the great resident of Nizhny Novgorod will be performed.

The scanner of ELARSKAN A2-400 is a general purpose equipment for digitization, and with its help librarians will be safely and in high quality to transfer to an electronic format both unique books of the XVIII-XIX century, and drawing editions.
