2018: Construction of reserve DPC

The international service of the order of the taxi of Maxims announced on March 29, 2018 creation of a reserve data processing center. The CTI system integrator acted as the contractor of the project of construction of reserve DPC.

The project became the second stage of the long-term plan of upgrade and development of infrastructure and was directed to satisfaction of the growing requirements of service of Maxims and ensuring the guaranteed uninterrupted service. The first stage was completed in 2016.

Increase in computing powers and creation of infrastructure for continuous operation of applications in virtual environment with a possibility of fast movement of loading between DPC without interruption in service of requests for providing 100% of availability became key project tasks.

Before project implementation experts of service of the order of the taxi of Maxims and CTI analyzed requirements and all risks with the forecast for five years. Optimal was a plan of step-by-step development which included solutions from a packet of the companies Dell EMC, Cisco and VMware. The solution became the crucial element of the plan resolving an issue of continuous service and mobility Dell EMC VPLEX.

The Dell EMC VPLEX platform allows to construct failsafe DPC within one data center or in city boundaries, integrating resources of two and more DPCs in a failover cluster. For the project the second option was selected. In each data processing center specialists set the hardware and software system VPLEX, between platforms failsafe, high-available and high-speed connection based on the convergent Cisco switches Nexus is created. Thanks to high qualification of engineers of Maxims specialists jointly completed the project in short terms.

On a response of representatives of service of Maxims, the superstructure in the form of VPLEX integrating DPC opened ample opportunities on management of dynamically developing IT infrastructure, allowed to react quickly to requirements as users of services, so business of the company and developers of new services. With complete transition to VPLEX the company is going to reach a fault tolerance indicator at the level of 99.99%.

We carried out already the second stage of the project of upgrade of a data processing center using specialists of CTI. The implemented system can be scaled depending on growth of loading. As a result we received security, quick access and fault tolerance of infrastructure that allows us to focus on the solution of the main business challenges — Anton Barsukov, the head of support department of the Unix platform of service of the order of the taxi of Maxims told.

In this case the effective architecture for creation of standby system was selected. The solution where both nodes of a cluster carried in city boundaries of Kurgan work in an active mode constantly became result, the integrity of data is guaranteed by logic of VPLEX — Alexander Kultashev, the system architect of CTI company added.

2016: Upgrade of DPC for internal resources

On November 10, 2016 the CTI company announced upgrade of the Data Processing Center (DPC) for internal resources of service of the order of the taxi of Maxims.

For the purpose of increase in safety of information exchange between divisions and reliability of functioning of internal cloud services the company ordered upgrade of DPC. The CTI company which implemented the project acted as integrator.

The updated data processing center is constructed based on the equipment Cisco UCS, Dell EMC and the software of VMware. Hardware-software providing DPC consists of the systems of virtualization, data storage, a computing subsystem, subsystems of switching of traffic, monitoring and reporting. It is a basis of a distributed infrastructure with dynamically balansiruyemy loading between geographically remote nodes and allows employees to communicate on an intra-company network in any city of the world, using both desktop computers, and mobile devices.

The updated services connected more than 150 cities in 5 countries of the world where the company of Maxims works.
