Innova organized two DPCs for developers

On November 15, 2016 the Cisco company announced start of two DPCs on the Application Centric Infrastructure platform by request of Innova company.

Project Tasks

Innova implements the business executing localization projects of global multiplayer and browser games in Russia / CIS, Europe and Brazil.

Due to the increasing load of DPC the company had a requirement - to provide to numerous development teams and programmers flexible, dynamic infrastructure with a possibility of isolation of projects and network landscapes, implementing necessary security policies. Having considered several options of solutions, Innova selected architecture of Cisco ACI.

Project Progress

In Moscow and Luxembourg geographically distributed DPCs on the Cisco ACI platform with integration with an environment of virtualization and service devices of L4-7 levels are unrolled.

Project Results

Using Cisco ACI developers received the convenient, simple infrastructure in application and service requiring the minimum involvement of network engineers in case of change of requirements and tasks of developers.

Employee performance increased. The test environment and network infrastructure for project implementation are developed in a few minutes, transfer of network landscapes between the DPCs located in the different countries is simplified.

With project completion the customer had an opportunity in the automatic mode to apply uniform security policies in all environments (physical, virtualized), on all devices (switches, firewalls, etc.) entering a data transmission chain.

For such companies as Innova following the DevOps model (assumes close interaction between IT department and developers), it is important that the implemented solutions supported open standards. The architecture of Cisco ACI conforms to these requirements. Innova could develop own automation system for Cisco ACI, implement security policies at the level of applications and integrate the solution with virtualization environments.
