Ketlogistik completed the project of SAM audit

On November 28, 2016 the Alan IT company announced completion of reconciliation of availability of the software of SAM Baseline and assessment of level of implementation of processes of SAM by request of Ketlogistik LLC.

Project Tasks

Development of the company affected development of IT infrastructure. In 2016 the management of Ketlogistik LLC made the decision on carrying out the next license reconciliation of software of Microsoft. Among the main objectives of the SAM project are designated:

• the analysis of the existing scheme of licensing,
• identification of possible risks,
• assessment of processes of management of IT infrastructure of the organization.

Two years ago we already carried out the similar project together with ALAN IT therefore now it was important to us not just to be convinced of legitimacy of use of the software, but also to give an assessment to SAM processes for their further improvement in the company. Project Progress

13 branches of the company fell within the scope of the SAM project. According to inventory, as a part of the customer's IT infrastructure 53 servers - 41 physical and 12 virtual, more than 300 client PCs running OS of the Windows family.

Specialists of the contractor conducted a research of IT infrastructure, the operating processes and the politician of SAM. Level of implementation of processes of SAM was estimated as "Standardized", ready to further transition on "Rationalized".

Project Results

Based on works recommendations for increase in level of a maturity of processes of SAM are prepared. The exact number of missing licenses is defined.

The rate of Ketlogistik on development of SAM processes was already repaid – the company significantly reduced software costs. Besides, a transparent system for increase in effective management of program assets was created. Alexander Sharov, project manager, analyst ALAN IT
