Processing and disposal of associated petroleum gas (Russian market)

In November 2016, the marketing agency DISCOVERY Research Group completed a study of the Russian market for the processing and utilization of associated petroleum gas.

In 2014, 73,998,9 million m3 of APG was received, which is 10.4% more than in 2013 year. The volume of APG market in Russia in 2015 amounted to 78,432.3 million m3, which is 6% more than in 2014. Over the period from 2010 to 2015, the volume of APG in Russia is constantly growing.

If we consider the structure of the extracted APG in Russia in terms of federal districts, then in 2015 the Ural Federal District takes the leading position - 53%. This is followed by the Far Eastern Federal District - 15%. Closes the top three Siberian Federal District - 15%.

If we consider the structure of the extracted APG in Russia in terms of the subjects of the federation, then in 2015 the leading position, as before, is occupied by the Tyumen region - 53%. This is followed by the Sakhalin region - 14%. Closes the top three Krasnoyarsk Territory - 10%.

The APG utilization rate in 2015 was 88.2%. The main objective of the industry remains to increase the useful use of APG to 95%.

In 2015, 9,824 million m3 of APG were burned, which is 12.2% less than in 2014. From 2010 to 2012, the volume of burned APG in Russia grew, but from 2012 to 2015. there is a tendency to reduce the volume of burned APG.

From 2010 to 2011, the share of APG burned at flare plants increased, but since 2011, the share of APG burned at flare plants has been gradually decreasing: if in 2011 the share of APG burned was 28%, then in 2015 its share has already reached 13%.
