On December 19, 2016 the press service of ABBYY company announced automation of process of assessment of education level in 900 educational institutions of the region by request of "The republican center of monitoring of quality of education" of Tatarstan.
Project Tasks
In the Republic of Tatarstan the State budgetary institution "Republican Center of Monitoring of Quality of Education" is engaged in the analysis of progress of school students. The main complexity which specialists within monitoring – territorial dispersion of schools in the different cities and areas face. With respect thereto on the center and schools many logistic tasks which complicate process lay down and take away a lot of time: delivery of forms, filling, check and return. Besides, transportation of forms requires reliable control and accounting and also finance costs.
The leaders of the republican center of monitoring of quality of education selected ABBYY Monitoring for more exact and fast check of results and timely execution of requirements of the legislation. The ABBYY platform automates monitoring of education level and allows to use already existing control and measuring materials and to load new. Officials of municipal, regional and federal levels had an opportunity to regularly obtain data on a large number of parameters: to separate schools, subjects, skills and abilities of pupils. It helps with real time to estimate and adjust the level of investments into different educational institutions taking into account results of monitoring of quality of education.
Project Results
At the first stage carried out diagnostics in the 10th classes in three objects: to mathematics, social science and physics. 15 thousand school students participated in actions and in 11 days the organizer received detailed reports about quality of education. They are used, both for creation of methodical recommendations, and for acceptance of management decisions at the level of the region and separate schools.
By means of use of the platform educational institutions could print test materials and scan forms on site. It helped to save time and financial resources of the center and the region.
The main work is undertaken by the platform, and teachers or the staff of the center need only to scan forms and to check correctness of data on the portal of ABBYY Monitoring. The platform automatically enters all data from forms and creates the structured reports.
| Thanks to the Monitoring ABBYY platform, we could reduce significantly terms and resources for holding such large-scale action as monitoring of quality of education in our region. It is important that use of the platform was cheaper and considerably accelerated process in comparison with other products having similar functions. We had an opportunity to watch the course of carrying out and to understand at what stage of accomplishment there is each of schools. The convenience of using and the clear interface did not cause difficulties even in those staff of schools which for the first time worked on the computer. As a result of everything in 11 days we received evident summary analytical reports on mathematics, physics and social science by schools, municipalities and all region.
