"The autonomous heat power company" completed the project of reorganization of IT infrastructure

On December 19, 2016 the Comparex company announced implementation of IT infrastructure in heat power company "ATEK".

For increase in the service level of the organizations and the population, increase in business performance in the company there was a need of implementation of a uniform information billing system of settlement with consumers of energy resources and services.

Before the IT Management of "ATEK" project made the decision on carrying out the analysis of IT infrastructure of the company. As the expert involved COMPAREX company.

Project Progress

Specialists of the contractor carried out expertize, revealed discrepancies of infrastructure of "ATEK" to requirements of the billing system planned to implementation.

The carried-out analysis reflected an obsolescence and unsatisfactory compliance of IT infrastructure of "ATEK" to performance criterions, fault tolerances, controllability. The customer had no selected storage system. All these factors promoted interruptions in work of business processes. The lack of free capacities resulted in impossibility of deployment of the applications critical for solving of tasks of business of the customer.

For leveling of the revealed shortcomings and upgrade of IT infrastructure it was required to solve a number of problems. First of all, implementation of the infrastructure solution based on modern technologies for storage, processing and data transmission was required. Secondly, to design the highly productive and managed platform for functioning of a system of billing. Thirdly it was necessary to increase in general fault tolerance, scalability and adaptivity of IT infrastructure of JSC ATEK for new business processes. Jointly with specialists of the customer requirements to the equipment were developed and the structure of the project is defined.

Within the project technical specialists of COMPAREX proposed the complete solution which part servers of Lenovo, IBM Storwize storage system, a switching equipment of Brocade and a system for ensuring uninterrupted power of APC were. Besides, the COMPAREX company provided to "ATEK" technical support from the producer. It allowed to solve the emergency situation which arose at test operation of the new equipment in the shortest possible time.

Project Results

In a project deliverable, COMPAREX created failsafe, scalable IT infrastructure for ATEK company that promoted increase in efficiency of business processes.

We were faced by a problem of implementation of the platform which will provide smooth functioning of ATEK services and, eventually, will increase satisfaction of our clients. The COMPAREX command proposed the most effective solution of this task and in a short time carried out works on input of the equipment in operation.
