The developer of financial software Misys began to use the GridGain platform

In December, 2016 GridGain Systems, the developer of corporate software solutions based on Apache Ignite, announced that the London software developer for financial services of Misys began to use the GridGain Enterprise Edition platform for performance improvement and data processing in real time.

Misys develops the software in the field of financial services which helps to manage large volumes of these biddings and transactions. To meet demand for services in real time from clients and also to consider the changing requirements to compliance to standards and the reporting, Misys decided to implement in the financial technical-solutions new IT architecture based on Java. This architecture will allow to use storages of the "data lake" format instead of traditional databases. Implementation of GridGain Enterprise Edition will help Misys with caching of data from data lake and distribution of cached data by a cluster for mass parallel processing.

The software of GridGain Enterprise Edition based on Apache Ignite provides scaling of applications with a high volume of data processing to petabyte level and acceleration of transactions by 1000 times in comparison with processing on a disk without replacement of the existing databases. It offers high-speed ACID transactions, streaming in real time and effective analytics within uniform complex data access and level of their processing. The solution ensures functioning as existing, and new applications in the distributed, mass and parallel architecture on the available, standard hardware in the industry which is easy for scaling by adding of additional nodes in the computing system. The GridGain platform does not require, or requires the minimum changes in the application or levels of the database for architecture on the basis of RDBMS, NoSQL or Apache Hadoop.

Before implementation of GridGain Enterprise Edition, Misys relied on portion processing of transaction data because of what data became available to requests with a delay. GridGain provides synchronous transactions in real time with low latency due to data storage in memories and distributions of processing between numerous machines in a cluster.

Misys also uses GridGain for start of the product FusionFabric.cloud. Service integrates trading and banking systems of Misys with cloud components, offering complex approach to work with exchange and off-exchange derivatives, inflation, securities with the fixed income, transactions of FX/MM, hybrid share securities and the structured financial products, since a stage of trading and up to accounting. Thanks to GridGain, FusionFabric.cloud provides infinite computing elasticity and risk analysis with complete assessment in real time. Besides, GridGain allows Misys to store data of biddings and the market in memory and at the same time to conduct calculations considerably to reduce time for the high-loaded transactions connected with observance of standards.
