Memorial Museum of Astronautics digitized accounting books

ELAR corporation digitized accounting documents of Memorial Museum of Astronautics. More than thirty arrivals books (AB) which were kept in the museum in the 1970-1980th years of last century and also more modern, were scanned and indexed for filling of museum information retrieval systems.

"Arrivals books of fixed assets and the book of scientific supplementary fund before scanning are not embroidered and are transferred to an electronic form only on scanners of planetary type, - the project manager of digitization Yulia Tsaryova tells. - In Memorial Museum of Astronautics the equipment of ELAR Planskan S. was used. Thanks to technology of contactless scanning, lack of infrared and ultra-violet radiations and also at the expense of the organization of technology process safety of originals when receiving is ensured from them electronic copies".

After scanning digital copies of accounting documents were indexed to about one field – "Number RC" that will allow to connect record of the database and the corresponding electronic image in the accounting system of the museum KAMIS. Also operators of retroconversion created an Access database with links to graphic images.

"Using scanning of arrivals books in the museum their insurance fund in a digital form is created, - the deputy manager of the direction on work with the museums of ELAR corporation Evgeny Mokeev says. – Filling of information systems of the museum data and images of accounting documents is directed to optimization accounting hranitelnoy to activity, increase in control over safety of funds".
