Evolved Wi-Fi Networks (EWN) is technologies of access of 3GPP, a core of network and the application in integration with the Wi-fi complex.

On January 16, 2017 the companies Ericsson also Cisco announced release of the EWN complex as a part of which technologies of access of 3GPP, a core of network and applications from Ericsson in combination with Wi-Fi- a portfolio from Cisco work.

The product is focused on customers of Ericsson among whom operators of mobile and cable networks, representatives of the different industries, offering access on Wi-Fi.

As a part of EWN:

• Small cells for internal installation (Indoor Small Cells): the combination of internal access networks of Ericsson to wireless local area networks of Cisco WLAN allows to provide in buildings and constructions both Wi-Fi, and cellular communication.
• Operator network Wi-fi (Operator Wi-Fi): the operators operating access networks of Ericsson can offer the subscribers access through Cisco WLAN.
• Regulation of traffic (Traffic Steering): integration of Cisco WLAN with macro - and internal access networks of Ericsson by means of a unique feature of Ericsson Real Time Traffic Steering gives to operators the chance to redirect end users between mobile and Wi-Fi-access networks, providing the maximum service quality.
