April 22, 2021 The first Bit announced the automation of management and financial accounting (FRP) in one of the domestic companies producing pipe products "ESK ChelPipe," introducing the solution "1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2.0," which was deployed in 50 workplaces.

Previously, the company used the system "1C: Enterprise Accounting," which did not allow you to flexibly customize the process of calculating costs and distributing costs. The costs in the enterprise were distributed in Excel, it was inconvenient to maintain and manage actual results only once a month, and I would like all processes to be fast, open and management decisions made quickly. Before the project, reporting was collected for a week, there were difficulties with estimating and managing actual costs in the context of a given analysis. It was necessary to solve the business problems of production accounting and integrated enterprise resource management (ERP). The cost of transmission of electricity consists of many factors: purchase of electricity, maintenance and repairs, other similar costs, transmission of electricity to employees, expensive clothing, security measures, rental of a building for office employees, for electricians, a program to monitor all processes, compliance with an adequate distribution base for all items (rental of premises, calculation of area for electricity, heat energy). The need to reflect all costs as closely as possible to economic meaning remains important.

The purpose of the project was set for specialists of the First Bit - to ensure the correct and accurate distribution of costs among all areas of activity of ChelPipe Power Grid Company JSC.

The implementation team highlighted the main tasks:

  • To create a unified information base for keeping records of head and separate enterprises on all aspects of economic activity, including planning
  • Automate cost accounting for different activities as required by law
  • Maximize cost to cost center and create optimal overhead allocation base

Specialists of the First Bit conducted a comprehensive consulting - earlier the client had implemented "1C: ERP. Plant management 2.4 "with additional module" 1C: Motor vehicle management. Module for 1C: ERP. " The system was put into commercial operation in a typical configuration due to bringing the company's internal systems to a single standard. It was launched in parallel at 2 sites in Chelyabinsk and Pervouralsk according to a unified working methodology.

The solution "1C: TOIR Management of repairs and maintenance of equipment 2 KORP" was implemented independently inside "ESK ChelPipe" when advising the First Bit. The typical exchange between 1C: TOIR and 1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2 was not implemented because it did not meet the requirements of the client who serves the fixed assets of other legal entities, and these solutions are suitable for servicing their fixed assets.

In this project, the specialists of the First Bit conducted a comprehensive consulting on budgeting functionality, cost calculation methods and cost allocation methods. This measure was taken to obtain financial results and up-to-date information on the cost structure of regulated activities. The implementers isolated from the budget forms what the client really plans and built on this a holistic multi-stage budgeting scheme, manual input and many other necessary functions. The "1C: ERP" system was able to be put into industrial operation without changing the configuration, thanks to the optimization of processes in the enterprise and bringing them to generally accepted practices.

The period was quickly closed within six working days of the end of the previous reporting period. Closing of the period now refers to the quality and timeliness of the documents provided for accounting. And in general, this made it possible to quickly prepare data for consolidation in the ChelPipe group in IFRS standards.

Results of implementation of the First Bit:

  • automated functions of the following divisions: financial department, accounting, personnel service, electric shop and power plant
  • production costs are generated daily and it is possible to maintain their accounting for a month and quickly manage actual results
  • an estimate of actual production costs is available in the context of a given dimension
  • reduced reporting time by three times
  • control of data convergence in budgeting is provided, it became possible to draw up a budget within a single accounting system and receive its execution
  • provided drill-down to primary cost analytics and documents to control the correctness of activity-based costing
  • possibility to justify costs of regulated activities
  • automated costs in the enterprise, thanks to an expanded set of dimensions
