Project Progress

Audit requires processing of a large number of supporting documents and reconciliation of data from them with information in the accounting system. Earlier data from primary finance documents were transferred by the staff of the company to a system manually. Besides, it was necessary to analyze each document, to find the necessary information and to reprint data in the register.

For increase in efficiency of processing of finance primary documents and automation of transfer of information in the working document the management of PwC made the decision on implementation of the ABBYY FlexiCapture program.

At the first operational stage of this program more than 1,000 different documents for the solution of auditor tasks were already successfully processed. Besides, templates which allow to distinguish and take data from consignment notes and payment orders were developed and tested.

The time allowed auditors to use this solution even more effectively, carrying out priority and important tasks and also considerably will simplify process of entering of data from primary documents of clients into the register.

"In constantly growing data stream for PwC it is always important to have the finger on the pulse and to work most effectively with the available information. When carrying out audit each part, any document and digits which are contained in it is important. An opportunity to automate and improve the accuracy of their processing using technologies of ABBYY allowed our employees much more simply and quicker to cope with routine tasks, and, above all – to focus on more foreground and difficult business processes and communication with clients".
