Hertz connected service of Internet of Things

On January 30, 2017 the company Orange Business Services announced implementation IoT- platforms Datavenue by request of the company Hertz.

Project Tasks

Orange Business Services signed the three-year contract with Hertz for provision of services on connection to Internet of Things (Internet of Things – IoT) for support of services of hourly lease of a car. Orange should provide connection of Hertz vehicle fleet in seven countries of Europe: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and Great Britain.

Feature of corporate service Hertz 24/7 - besklyuchevy access to leased cars, it simplifies use of service. Cars can be armored round the clock by the client's employees by phone, via the website of service or a special application that allows to simplify process of the order of a car and to reduce costs.

The park of the cars available within Hertz 24/7 can be developed in one or several countries where the company client works, allowing its personnel to armor and use the machines left in different places.

Using service of connection to Internet of Things cars will begin to support the voice services allowing the client to address directly to contact center of Hertz regardless of location.

Earlier the division of Hertz in each certain country needed to use network of the local operator and to order from it telematic SIM cards. Cooperation with Orange Business Services centralizes control of SIM cards for Hertz, providing service maintenance at one global provider of communication services.
