The LoRaWAN technology allows hundreds of thousands of devices of Internet of Things to transfer on a radio channel the data to the gateway (base station) which poisons this information on the server in the Internet. And data become available to owners of these IoT-devices. Users can connect to network of Internet of Things on LoRaWAN technology metering devices of electricity, water, is warm, and gas to see a consumption of energy resources and not to rewrite manually the indication from counters — they are automatically given to management company. Sensors of a leakage of water, smoke and gas in case of danger will instantly give an alarm. The owner will receive it in mobile application or in a personal account on the computer worldwide where there is an Internet access. Abroad on this smart refrigerators technology learned to order independently missing products through network, and house lighting and heating can already be managed remotely through mobile application of the smartphone if in the dwelling LoRaWAN-devices of the smart home are installed.
The housing and public utilities will become the first and most important sector in which in Russia at the beginning of 2017 large-scale implementation of this technology starts. Supplier companies of resources and their consumers of services will be able to see detailed information on the actual expense almost in real time. It will entail revolutionary shift in work of all system of housing and public utilities, will make it more transparent for all.
The Omsk network begins the work in February, after installation of the first LoRaWAN-gateway (station) in the Central Administrative District of the regional center to which structures of Internet of Things (IoT, Internet of Things) in a radius of 4 kilometers will be able to be connected. For signal transmission the free frequency of 868 MHz in which work does not require licenses or permissions is used. Completely to cover the city-millionik with network and to collect data, for example, from all household utility counters, it is enough to set no more than 20 gateways (stations). Omsk became the 11th Russian city in which the similar project is implemented. The federal operator "Network 868" acts as the partner of TMT group.
