Viasat Group began the project of support of world roaming for mobile users in Internet of Things

On February 7, 2017 the Orange Business Services company provider announced the three-year contract with Viasat within which the operator will provide global roaming for 350 thousand SIM cards at connection to Internet of Things (Internet of Things – IoT).
Project Tasks
Connection of Orange IoT allows the telematic equipment Viasat to transfer and accept data, to work with the SMS and voice messages. In combination with service of satellite positioning, global connection will allow Viasat to propose the complete solution in the field of insurance. Used in the SIM cards project support roaming, ensuring functioning of solutions in networks of the different countries. Also they are made on special technology that allows them to maintain impact of vibrations and extreme temperatures.
Orange should provide the ready platform for management of connections of IoT which will allow customers of Viasat to work with the operating connections and to make changes to parameters of SIM cards. Using the portal it is possible to execute the order, to disconnect and to repeatedly activate the SIM card, to set the notification about consumption of data and blocking of the SIM card at achievement of the set traffic limits. Besides the platform can be integrated with client back-end systems for generation of itemized statements and transfer of billing information.
