"The Ak Bars the Region" completed transfer of ERP in a cloud

On February 21, 2017 the ActiveCloud company announced transfer in a cloud of the Oracle Retail system for retail company "Ak Bars Region".

Project Tasks

Ak Bars Region LLC manages network of retail stores. For optimization of work of retail chain stores it is decided to implement the ERP system of Oracle Retail.

As the retail chain stores developed, before IT department there was a number of tasks:

• because of rapid growth of number of shops it was difficult to calculate necessary computing powers precisely. * time for the choice and purchase of the equipment was practically absent.
• the company wanted to use most effectively investments into IT infrastructure, paying resources in process of use.

Project Progress

The feature of the project - the growing requirements to virtual IT infrastructure - for optimal system operation of Oracle Retail is created high-speed DWH.

Lease of computing resources in a cloud became solving of tasks of IT department. The ActiveCloud company won an open tender.

The management of Ak Bars Region LLC made the decision on the beginning of the project check of work of Oracle Retail for one outlet and the central office. Test results showed that in the future the data exchange rate satisfying the customer requires the storage system providing the high speed of work of disks with guaranteed to IOPS and the speed of reading record a disk system.

Project Results

Use of a cloud platform allowed us not only to save funds for purchase of the equipment, but also not to worry that requirements to IT infrastructure constantly increased. Oracle Retail was quickly in detail though it also had specific requirements for work in virtual environment. Separately it would be desirable to note work of technical support which always sensitively reacted to all our requests.
